Choose a version for your phone

The button above works on any phone. These are smaller builds for one kind of processor; pick the wrong one and it will refuse to install, so only use them if you know which you need.

Install it

  1. Open the file. Tap Download for Android, then open the file when the download finishes.
  2. Allow the install, once. Android asks before installing a file that did not come from a store. If it says that app is not allowed to install other apps, tap Settings, turn on Allow from this source, and go back.
  3. Install and open. Tap Install, then Open.
  4. Create your account. Tap Get started to choose a username and a password, or I already have an account to sign in.
  5. Write down the recovery code. It is shown once, and it is the only way back into your account if you forget your password.

Updates after this arrive inside the app itself.

Checking you got the real file

You do not have to do any of this to use the app. It is here so that a careful person can prove the file arrived intact.

On a computer, sha256sum on Linux or shasum -a 256 on a Mac, or Get-FileHash in Windows PowerShell, prints the same value for a file that was not tampered with.

Android signing certificate

Every genuine build is signed by the same key, and Android refuses to install an update signed by a different one. Running apksigner verify --print-certs on the downloaded file should print this SHA-256 fingerprint.
